How is it that this magnificent church is in such great shape? Everything looks so sharp and not eroded by the elements. How is it that this magnificent church is NOT swarming with tourists? That makes me so happy, and makes me determined to make a pilgrimage. The interior is exceptionally well ordered in a way that is so unlike most churches, which are so sloppy by comparison. Q: What is that hanging metal contraption. (7:53) ?
I hope your videos never end! I love experiencing the world through your camera. Thank you so much for that. 😊
Hello! Thank a lot for your comment 🙂
Gracias

Hello Polina! 🙂 thanks a lot
The Belvedere is for me probably one of the most underrated palaces in the world. While often overshadowed by Schönbrunn and the Hofburg the Belvedere is arguably equally important and more impressive not only as a museum but also as a palace. While the Hofburg is a project of generations showing the history of the house Habsburg and Austria, due to that fact it also at times seems quite unplanned and you never can get a kind of whole picture of it. Schönbrunn is nice but in my opinion it doesn’t feel that Grand. In reality it’s „only“ a summer palace which draws much inspiration from Versailles but of course fails to match it. The Upper and Lower Belvedere on the other hand were built by the efforts of one of the most genius Generals in history, who was a big reason for the rise of the Austrian line of the Habsburgs and their empire. All that against two formidable foes the French and the Ottomans. Both palaces have their own style and at the same time seem to complement each other really well. It really feels like a place of strength and victory while also being one piece of art. Additionally of course it’s the place of the most important contract in the history of the second republic and therefore a place heavily intertwined with a new national consciousness for Austria
